How the XTrash score works
The XTrash Challenge is run by PBSP — Philippine Business for Social Progress for its corporate members, on BEST's Trash to Cashback platform. The standings below are read directly from BEST's earn ledger.
Two honest numbers, never mixed. Kilograms is how much material a company actually recovered. EP — Environmental Points — is BEST's material-weighted score of that recovery: cleaner, harder-to-recover streams like metal and paper earn more points per kilogram than plastic or glass.
Why the leaderboard can disagree with the scale
EP rewards what you recover, not just how much. That is why the tonnage leader and the points leader are often different companies — and it is the whole point of the challenge: recover the materials that matter most.
Weight classes — a size-fair fair fight
A ten-person office should never be measured against a national telco. Every company also competes inside its weight class — a band set by lifetime tonnage — so a small organisation can top its own division on merit.
Points, not pesos
EP is a score, not a currency. Where EP is redeemable in the wider program, members redeem it — the leaderboard never shows or implies a peso value. Ranks measure environmental effort, full stop.
